Just finished up this pool deck renovation for these homeowners. Before the renovation, they had a small landing coming off the deck, with one long run of stairs, that ended right at the corner of the pool. Once exiting the stairs, people were having to sneak past the corner of the pool with hopes of not slipping, and falling in. We demoed their old stairs and redesigned their new set of stairs, having them exit the opposite way, away from the pool area. Also their 3 posts on the front of the deck were looking a bit worn, so we replaced those decorative post with 4x4's, and wrapped them in a "khaki" colored vinyl post wrap that matched their house trim perfectly. We continued on with the "khaki" vinyl post wrap on the 4x4's for the stair railing posts as well. We installed black aluminum railing panels in between the deck posts, and the stair posts. This was a relatively inexpensive fix for these homeowners, and one where the benefits of safety, and functionality outweighed the costs. Turned out looking very nice too! Give us a call if you've got an outside area that needs some rehabbing or if you want to get an estimate for a new deck.
