While waiting for materials to arrive for our current sunroom project, we hopped over to Batavia to begin the concrete work for underneath a future Azek deck. These customers had some serious water pooling problems in their deck site/walkout basement area, which is a problem that happens with a lot of homes here, due to the seemingly, not well thought out sloping of the land. They also wanted to eventually enclose underneath the deck for a season room of sorts at a later time. So, we were able to help them with some concrete and drainage work to waterproof it for future use. Below is all of our concrete and drainage applications:
- Excavate down min. of 30" below grade for footer - 16" wide x 6" high footer - (1) 8" thick x 4'-0" high foundation wall on left side of deck - 3000 psi concrete - (1) 6" thick x 3'-4" high foundation wall on back and right side of deck - 3000 psi concrete - (1) 4" slab on grade - rebar at 24" o.c. per perpendicular to house and 12" o.c. parallel with house - 4000 psi concrete - (1) 4" thick x 4' wide x 18' long walkway slab - 4000 psi concrete steps to terminate on slab - #4 rebar throughout footer and wall - (1) 16" dia footer for 6x6 support of landing - Crushed limestone laid under new concrete slab - (1) floor drain installed and tie into downspout drainage to rear of yard We can help you achieve a deck and a dryer, usable, and enjoyable area underneath. Give us a call to discuss your plans and problems :) Comments are closed.
