Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more, it turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, and a stranger into a friend.
Just finished up this 22'3" x 14' upper deck with one corner step down to a lower, 19'6" x 8' deck attached to a 19' x 23'L-shaped lower deck . A small, 7' x 3'4" landing deck at garage level, with steps down to lower deck. 789 square feet of space, including decks and steps. American Aluminum railing was installed on the upper deck in classic black, and treated lumber 2x2's were installed horizontally, around the bottom perimeter of the deck for a contemporary skirting look. An inch gap was left between each skirting board to help with underneath ventilation of the deck to control mold, mildew and rot. Please call us for your free deck estimate.
Most people think you have to place a pergola in the backyard only. No true anymore. As you see in the photos, pergolas can bring life onto the front of your home and add some dimension, especially if you don't have much of an overhang or no front porch. Caution - if you don't plan to purchase a retractible canopy for shade underneath the pergola, and plan to grow some vines, be careful which vine you do grow. Even though Wisteria is my favorite it will create havoc on your pergola and awning/soffits of your home. Let your builder know which vines you're thinking about so they can build your pergola out of a material that can withstand.
We just completed this 14' x 16' treated lumber deck with steps down to a 4' x 4' landing with another set of steps down to grade. We also installed a railing profile with no 4x4 railing posts rising up above the railing. A level 2x6 rail cap all the way around. The framing members, decking, railing and steps are Southern Yellow Pine #1 with black, round aluminum balusters. On a personal taste note, I really like the brick color scheme on this home. These are the follow-up photos of a deck we recently completed. Had some finishing touches we needed to install. This is the new Earthwood Evolutions Legacy line of Timbertech. The decking floor is the Timbertech Legacy Tigerwood, and the darker double picture frame border around the top perimeter of the deck, and immediately underneath floor lip, is the Timbertech Legacy decking and fascia in the Mocha color. We also installed the American Aluminum railing system in black, and wrapped each 4x4 rail post with a Timbertech Radiance rail post sleeve in classic black for a more beefier look to the post. We then installed Aurora low voltage LED post caps and lights in the black, pyramid profile. The customer also chose to install vinyl lattice from Universal Forest Products in the dark brown which matches the Mocha trim perfectly. If you would like more information on any of these materials, please give us a call anytime!
Recently completed this 14' x 16' deck, that is attached on angle to a 10' x 8' deck with steps to grade. 383 square feet of space including steps. Customers choice of materials was the Azek PVC decking boards and fascia in the Murado color. They also chose to have us install the American Aluminum railing system in classic black that really pops off their decking color, and gives it a great finish.
