Have you purchased, or thinking about getting yourself a BGE (Big Green Egg) grill? Are you needing a table to place it, and use it? Then give us a call! The table in the photos was constructed out of Ipe', with black granite as the cutting board area. We can build out of any wood you prefer, and use any food grade material for a preparation area next to the grill spot. What are you waiting on? This is a completed Ipe' (Brazilian Hardwood) deck, with a roof over, and aluminum railing. The deck is 28'4" x 15', with a 5'x4' bumpout and 2 sets of steps to grade. Total square footage of the deck, landing, and steps equals 460 square feet of space. We used the existing framing, with partially replacing framing members on the right side. We installed 5/4 x 6 Ipe' decking boards, and installed 5/4 x 6 Ipe' decking boards around the perimeter to create a picture framed deck. The railing is 4x4 Ipe' posts with American Aluminum railing sections in classic black, installed between each post. The roof package is 14' with a 1' overhang out from the house, x 16' wide with a 1' overhang on each side. 300 square feet of roof coverage with cathedral ceilings. We finished the inside ceilings by installing 1" x 6" pine beadboard. The roof support posts are
6"x 6" pressure treated posts wrapped with painted cedar trim, as are the beam and soffits as well. Hardie board was installed horizontally to close off the roof gable which provides a more finished look. Seamless gutters with downspouts were installed where needed. The under deck skirting is pressure treated lumber installed horizontally, instead of vertical. We then constructed the BGE (Big Green Egg) grill table using the remaining Ipe' wood. We also installed a section of dark granite as the cutting board area on the grill table. All Ipe' you see here was purchased from advantagelumber.com, the aluminum railing sections were purchased from hooverfence.com, and the remaining materials for the roof, framing members, and skirting were purchased from our salesman at mccabelumber.com Give us a call for your new deck estimate. This is a Ipe' (Brazilian hardwood) deck with cable railing. The deck is 36' x 13'5", that has 469 square feet of space. We used 1x4 Ipe' boards as the main decking, and installed them parallel with the back of the home. We then installed 1x6 Ipe' boards around the perimeter of the deck as a double picture framer border design. Gives a nice "finished" touch, and provides a stopping point for the eye. The cable railing provides a less obstructive view than regular balusters, and looks great with the Ipe' decking. These customers chose to not have any steps exiting off the deck to the below grade. All Ipe' was purchased from advantagelumber.com, and the Keylink cable railing was purchased from hooverfence.com Please keep checking back for our latest projects, or call for an estimate.
