Recently completed this deck project for these customers in KY. This is a 16"9" x 21' deck with cut corners, that was constructed adjacent ,and tied into an existing deck. Total square footage of the deck is 360 square feet. Also, a 14' x 16' pergola was constructed with decorative rafters, We removed the railing around the existing deck and steps, and installed new railing for both new and the existing deck. The customer chose to use the black aluminum balusters to give the wood railing a more classy touch. The customer also chose Trex Accent composite decking in the Madeira color. The Trex Accent line is being phased out, as Trex continues to produce products in the Transcend, Enhance, and Select lines. This was a unique project for us, as we only installed the framing of this deck. We guided the customer himself, through the completion of the decking and railing. The photos above are his final product, and have to say he did a great job, and passed his final inspection. This is a 12'x28' deck with steps to grade, and the overall square footage of the deck is 355 square feet. The customer received a great deal on the decking with closeout pricing, from our salesman Rick Wedding, at McCabe Lumber. The GAF/Duralife decking is no longer available or being produced, but with routine maintenance maintained, the customer could have this deck to enjoy for a long time. He chose coastal white Timbertech Radiance rail with black balusters, and also installed white vinyl privacy panels at the rear of the deck. I love the look and the color scheme! Please give us a call for other great deals, and for a free estimate. Please keep checking back for our upcoming composite and PVC deck projects
Got this 16' x 14' deck completed just in time for the holiday. Now, if the rain would just move on, these homeowners could enjoy themselves on their new deck today. This deck has 240 square feet, including the cascading steps, and the deck features a clipped corner. This deck is all constructed out of Southern Yellow Pine #1, which is a very durable wood, and once the wood is sealed, along with proper yearly maintenance, can last for a number of years. Double 2" x 10" beams have been thru bolted to notched 6" x 6" posts, that have been set in concrete footers, and which provide the necessary, strong support system for the framing members. The 5/4" x 6" decking boards were installed parallel with the back of the home, and the railing was installed on the inside of the deck, to give it a more finished look. All materials were purchased at McCabe Lumber, courtesy of our salesman Rick Wedding. Go visit Rick at McCabe's or give us a call for a free estimate!
We just finished installing a retaining wall in the backyard for these homeowners. A 32' long x 3'10" high wall, using the Pavestone Anchor Diamond Pro retaining wall system, with the straight face profile. We excavated into the hillside, and used crushed limestone for the base and crushed limestone for the backfill. Installed a proper drainage system behind the wall, inside of the backfill to help alleviate any erosion issues. We had 8 cubic yards of topsoil delivered, and spread throughout the back yard for a more finished look. In the front yard, a smaller, 17' long x 24" high wall was constructed. We used the 8" x 12" blocks, in the Red Charcoal Concrete Garden Wall Block system which matches the brick veneer of the home. Crushed limestone was used again at the base and for the backfill as well. 1 cubic yard of top soil was spread over the area for a more finished look. If your yard needs a bit of help, please give us a call. Always a free estimate.
